The New Subversive Gaming!
Subversive Gaming’s New Look
Thanks to the efforts of our Web Development Unit, and the head of our Graphics and Content Creation Unit, Sinserious, we’ve finally finished our complete re-brand. Today, which is 30th August 2020, we unveil the new website and our new graphics – as well as our shortened but new name. Subversive Gaming started because the founders, originally from different places themselves, were fed up with the status quo in gaming communities. They were fed up with the way that leadership within them was about accumulating power rather than what someone contributed and even more so about the control they have over something. So DrCyn opened the doors to the people who he felt would contribute the most to the start up of this new idea and also not become what they all hated so much.
Those people who he chose to found Subversive Gaming with would later go on to form what is now known as “The Council”, they would have an equal say in what direction the community took and could bring forward ideas that would always be considered by the collective. The idea was to have more than one single person at the top making every decision, because that encourages narrow mindedness and instead of benefiting from the collective experience and wisdom of a group of people, Subversive Gaming would’ve failed before starting. So we’re proud to have that kind of democratic system in place where all ideas are welcome and considered, all members who want to contribute in their own way can do so and most importantly, every adult gamer who wants to be here will be welcomed with open arms.
We pride ourselves on being a safe space where female gamer’s and other minorities within the gaming world that are discriminated against can all come to have a good time and not worry about the people in their community getting away with toxic behaviour. The first code of conduct that was established was our zero tolerance for sexual harassment and general harassment of any member. We have an independent team that works solely on breaches of our codes of conduct and other policies and after investigating they make their recommendation to The Council about what action should be taken against the “offender”.
Subversive Gaming now has over one-hundred members, and our leadership team is steadily growing. We will continue to grow and we’ll continue to show the gamer’s who aren’t sure about us that like our name suggests, we are here to subvert the current system within gaming clans today. We’re here to show that this new way is better and we should take a stance against those who are in this for themselves. A gaming community, in its simplest form, is “People playing games together”.
So lets play some games together.
